Hi again! Do you like holidays? Do you have some special holiday memories? Recently I chatted to David Taylor who is our chairperson here at Uniting Place. He told me about his childhood holidays with his sisters at a caravan park in Lakes Entrance as well as sharing about a challenge he faced in his childhood. Have a listen.

In this first (ever!) episode of Fish and Faith I introduce my own family, we talk a little bit about ourselves, our interests and of course our favourite food. My son interviews me about why I decided to start a podcast. Want to join the conversation? Hang out with us in our FB group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/332942128923760

Hello & Welcome!
Maybe you go to church. Maybe you don't. You might identify as Christian. Or not. Perhaps you want to share with your kids the stories and traditions that shaped your own childhood or perhaps this is something new your family is discovering together.
So here you are, with the opportunity to join us as we share stories from an ancient text and explore how they might inform and inspire our lives today. This is an inclusive space and we recognise that no one perspective brings the full picture of who God is. Differing viewpoints are welcomed, provided views expressed also show respect for others - we hold that all people are equally valued regardless of race, creed, age, gender or orientation. Families come in many different forms and we celebrate diversity.
This is a place for mystery, for wondering, for asking questions and wrestling with the unknown. We recognise the paradox that the gospel can be understood with faith like a child, yet the Bible is not a children's book and contains some "adult themes" that require context and maturity to unpack. So through the rhythm of community, in household conversation, in embracing and reinventing faith traditions we move together toward a lived understanding of what it means to follow Jesus.
